Getting Started

In order to begin your participation in the choir, please complete the registration form HERE or click "Join the Choir" tab found above.

Cost

There is currently no charge to join nor will there be any charge for events. The only costs are incidental, such as printing sheet music, purchasing a folder, etc.

Who May Join

This choir is for those ages 14 to 100+. If there is enough interest we hope to create a children's choir for ages 6-13 in the near future. 2020 Christmas Caroling is an exception. All ages may participate.
You must be willing to follow the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Click HERE to review these standards.

Practices

While COVID is a continuing issue, we will be managing our choir in a slightly...shall we say unconventional...way. At this time, rather than organized practices, you will need to practice on your own. We will provide online access to warm-up links, practice helps for each part, and links to sheet music and piano music (please see tabs above). Events will be held outside and follow local and venue requirements.

After COVID subsides and restrictions are lifted, we will be holding regular practices. This could be once a week for two months prior to a performance or once every other week year-round, or something similar. The practice schedule will greatly depend on pianists and conductors.

Practices are currently scheduled to be held Thursday evenings at the LDS church building located at 14680 California St. Omaha, NE 68154. We will keep you informed regarding the start of in-person practices.

Introducing OmahaHAVEN Community Choir

I don't know about you, but WE MISS SINGING!

During this time of isolation and loss of our musical voices, we have decided to attempt a different kind of choir. Instead of meeting to practice for our first performances, we have created recordings for individual parts and piano music (see tabs above) in the hopes that we can each learn our parts without the need to meet together.

Once COVID subsides and restrictions are lifted, we will be holding regular practices. This could be once a week for two months prior to a performance or once every other week year-round, or something similar. The practice schedule will greatly depend on pianists and conductors. At this time, we have reserved the California Street Building on Thursday evenings for in-person practices and will let you know when we are ready to begin.

Our first event will be CHRISTMAS CAROLING, held in a variety of outdoor venues. See below.
